La messe en si mineur de J. S. Bach est l’un des sommets de la musique occidentale.  Quelque peu avant sa mort, le grand maître allemand compléta cette œuvre magistrale, symbiose parfaite des divers courants musicaux de son époque. At Maison Symphonique, Montreal and Palais Montcalm, Quebec City.

March 18 / sarah was ninety years old

Ellen joins One Equall Musick as their newest member. Showcasing the group's exquisite sound and expressive range, this intense program on biblical themes for mixed voices, organ and percussion includes three pieces by Arvo Pärt alongside works by Josquin des Prez, Adrian Foster and Allison Willis, as well as a commissioned work by OEM's music director, Rona Nadler.

March 11 / duo caldera

Ellen Torrie and Leah Weitzner perform as duo Caldera for Oasis Musicale concert series at historic downtown Christ Church Cathedral in Montreal. Through a collection of sacred duos published in 1610, Vezzo di Perle Musicali (Musical Pearls), Caldera will interpret Banchieri’s musical settings of verses from the old and new testaments. Featuring two soprano voices and continuo.

North Mountain United Tapestry and Manning Memorial Chapel, Nova Scotia. The annual favourite, and a concert for the Christmas season unlike any other returns! Wassails from the British Isles, tradition folk tunes of Ireland and Scotland, haunting medieval carols, and glorious seasonal choral music. 

December 8-11 / Handel's Messiah

Canadian tour with Harmonie des Saisons. Their interpretation of this famous oratorio has become a yearly tradition. Come celebrate with us this 5th tour of MESSIAH: a masterpiece for the holidays!

December 3 / Winter Magnolia

Singer-songwriters Ellen Torrie and Savannah Shea take you on a journey of folk music through the ages in the historical Christ Church Cathedral.
